Job summary

Capital Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to obtain medication histories for patients in the Emergency Department. You will collect home medications, allergies, and dosing information from patients, families, pharmacies, and providers, then document everything in the electronic health record for pharmacist review.

The role may perform inpatient technician duties when needed. Requirements include a High school diploma or equivalent, CPhT certification, NJ Board registration within 6 months,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency and CPhT certification.
• NJ Board registration or plan to obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Two years of Pharmacy Technician experience required; PTCB history preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medication histories from patients, families, and external sources.
• Document medications and allergies into the EHR for pharmacist review.
• Communicate completion of history to ED staff; assist in inpatient tech tasks as needed.
• Promote accurate medication reconciliation and participate in PI activities.
