Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA is seeking a Coordinator of Patient Flow for the Emergency Department. This FT Night shift role leads staffing, patient flow operations and services, and coordinates departmental functions to maximize throughput and safety.

The ideal candidate is an RN with 3+ years in ED, with ACLS, PALS and BLS certifications, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive performance improvement and compliant patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of nursing practice in an Emergency Department.
• RN license (single state) or multi-state compact.
• ACLS, PALS, BLS, ENA-ENPC, TNCC certifications.
• Associates degree in Nursing or Diploma (RN).
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Constantly rounding throughout the ED triage area, waiting rooms, and patient rooms to oversee patient flow.
• Liaison between Bed Management, ED providers, nursing, case management, EMS, and other departments.
• Organize the work environment and patient care teams to attain unit outcomes.
• Coordinate patient flow into and out of the department.
• Provide leadership and prioritization to improve patient throughput and safety.
