The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of clinical admissions or patient scheduling experience, with strong communication and computer skills. This is a part-time, hourly position with a rotating shift.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of payer guidelines and revenue cycle processes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors in the Emergency Room with professionalism and empathy.
• Register patients, collect and verify demographic, insurance, and financial information.
• Obtain signatures on consent forms and privacy notices while ensuring compliance.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; update records accordingly.
• Determine and collect co-pays and explain financial assistance programs.
• Collaborate with clinical and security teams to manage patient intake and flow.
• Enter and maintain patient data in the EMR and registration systems; correct duplicates.
• Respond to inquiries with sensitivity to diverse situations.
• Stay informed on payer guidelines and hospital policies.
• Support process improvements and assist in training staff; provide backup coverage.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
