Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent and preferred with one (1) year experience in an acute care hospital.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provides indirect patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff.
• Implements directions from physicians and nursing staff.
• Maintains age specific safety precautions.
• Obtains appropriate staff to assist in the care of the patient when requested by charge nurse.
• Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and hospital policies and procedures and standards.
