Job summary

BMCHS is seeking a Patient Access Representative for the Emergency Department to ensure complete and accurate patient registration and billing information, and to support ED staff in a fast‑paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include data integrity, insurance verification, copay collection, and delivering excellent service while maintaining a 95% QA score. Requires a HS diploma, CAC within 120 days, and 0–2 years hospital registration or 3+ years customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CAC certification must be completed within 120 days of employment.
• 0-2 years hospital registration or 3+ years customer service experience.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Verify patient insurance and demographic data in the hospital system.
• Register patients, collect copays, and document insurance information.
• Maintain data integrity in the information system (demographics, insurance, admission).
• Work in a fast-paced ED environment and cover in Admitting/ED as needed.
