Job summary

CARSON VALLEY HEALTH is seeking an Emergency Department Charge RN (Part Time) in Gardnerville, NV. This leadership role oversees daily ED operations, patient flow, and nursing staff coordination to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements include NV RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC certifications, and 3–5 years of clinical nursing with supervisory experience; ICU and ER experience preferred. BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Valid license to practice as an RN in the State of NV.
• BLS for healthcare providers required; ACLS, PALS, TNCC required.
• 3–5 years of clinical nursing with supervisory experience preferred; at least 2 years ICU experience; ER experience preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing principles, hospital policies, procedures, and patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate high level of nursing skill and leadership ability.
• Facilitate effective communication between nursing staff, physicians, patients, and families.
• Participate in staff meetings, case reviews, and departmental briefings; foster two-way, non-punitive communication.
• Ensure effective staffing, documentation accuracy, and adherence to department policies.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges; manage inventory and respond to emergencies.
• Support staff development, supervise competencies, and conduct shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop patient care plans.
