Job summary

Carson Valley Health is seeking an Emergency RN (Nights) for a full-time position in Gardnerville, NV. The role provides professional nursing care in the Emergency Department, delivering age-appropriate care across the lifespan in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.

The nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team and adhering to hospital policies. BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications are required; TNCC within 6 months of hire; ENPC preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate’s degree in nursing.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC within 6 months of hire.
• ENPC recommended.
• English reading/communication required; bilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose patient and family needs in order to provide high-quality care in the ED.
• Provide direct nursing care and evaluate outcomes, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Perform system assessments and monitor parameters for assigned patients.
• Develop discharge planning with patient/family on admission.
