Job summary

SpartanNash in Marshall, Michigan is seeking a detail‑oriented team member to manage the eCommerce order process from online customers, ensuring items are picked, bagged, stored at proper temperatures, and ready for pickup in a timely manner.

You will review customer notes, handle substitutions, maintain quality control for perishables, and train teammates to meet service standards, PPE, and food safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems.
• Good leadership and training skills.
• Ability to develop knowledge of products and store layout for efficient picking procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the eCommerce process for receiving customer's online orders and picking or delegating picking of orders.
• Review customer comments/special instructions to ensure product matches request; follow up on substitutions.
• Ensure quality control and handle products carefully, especially perishables, during selection and packing.
• Scan order products, confirm order totals for items priced by the pound and substitutions.
• Follow proper procedures for storing orders at proper temperature.
• Report customer issues, shorts, overages, damages to store management immediately.
• Research and resolve customer complaints/problems in a timely manner.
• Provide training, guidance and feedback to team to ensure standards and service expectations.
• Maintain focused and effective customer service.
• Implement the Company service programs and model high standards of service.
• Stay current with industry/local trends and suggest improvements.
• Follow PPE, food safety, cleaning, and guest experience guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments as needed.
