Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects in the Environmental Services Group. You will assist with regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local environmental projects across our portfolio.

You will work with teams to develop risk assessments, QA plans, and exposure models while collaborating with diverse professionals and presenting findings at conferences and meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Science or related discipline is required.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as needed.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience may substitute for a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support site investigations and interpretation of data for human health risk assessments (HHRA) and ecological risk assessments (ERA).
• Assist human health and ecological risk teams and develop DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs.
• Support planning for CSEMs, HHRA, SLERA, and BERAs for various complexities.
• Collaborate with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches.
• Provide technical evaluation of documents and assist client meetings.
• Mentor junior staff and provide training within the discipline.
