CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. You will assist with regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local environmental projects in CDM Smith’s portfolio.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop risk assessments, planning documents, and exposure models, while mentoring junior staff and supporting client interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or related field with professional scientist registration/certification preferred.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; frequency dependent on duties.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsabilités

• Support site investigations and interpretation of data for human health and ecological risk assessments.
• Develop data quality objectives (DQOs), QA Plans (QAPPs) and sampling plans (SAPs).
• Prepare conceptual site exposure models (CSEMs) and various risk assessments (HHRAs, SLERAs, BERAs).
• Collaborate with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches.
• Provide technical evaluation on project documents and support client meetings.
• Guide and mentor junior staff for growth within the discipline and firm.
• Assist sales teams with proposals in response to RFPs.
• Contribute to technical knowledge via white papers on emerging issues.
• Attend conferences and present to improve visibility of firm’s products and services.
• Perform other duties as required.
