Job summary

Babilou Family US is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our Little Sprouts, Building Blocks, and Heartworks schools. You will support a Certified Teacher to create meaningful learning experiences, maintain an eco-conscious classroom, and foster strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

The role emphasizes sustainability in daily practice and professional growth. The position runs year-round, Monday–Friday, 7:00AM–6:00PM, with opportunities for development and a supportive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
• Knowledge of child development and classroom safety standard.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and support the Certified Teacher effectively.
• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Interest in sustainability or eco-conscious classroom practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Certified Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and learning experiences.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and environmentally responsible classroom environment.
• Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor experiences.
• Document observations for assigned children each month.
• Greet families and support sustainable communication practices.
• Attend required training and collaborate with the teaching team on curriculum and sustainability initiatives.
