Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an Electro-chemical Machining (ECM) Operator to set up and run ECM equipment, cutting metal pieces to precise specifications. You will interpret product sheets, dress electrodes, clamp parts, and regulate acid flow while ensuring ongoing process quality and data is accurately recorded.

Responsibilities include inspecting finished pieces and electrodes, updating the manufacturing system, and communicating any issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year experience in industrial manufacturing as a machine operator.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate electro-chemical machines to cut metal work pieces to specifications following standard charts and manuals.
• Plan operation of machine for ECM work from product sheets.
• Dress electrodes according to standard practices and part requirements.
• Position and secure work pieces on ECM machine table with clamps or fixtures.
• Adjust acid flow and start machine; monitor operation.
• Inspect work pieces and electrodes; measure and record dimensions.
• Update status in electronic system and log quality information including defects.
• Report unusual problems to manager.
