Job summary

Electric Supply and Equipment Company in North Carolina is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up, program, and operate computer-controlled machines on metal workpieces. The role requires reading blueprints, selecting tools, and monitoring performance to ensure high-quality parts.

Experience with CAD software and trend-aware control systems is preferred. The position is based in a warehouse/office environment with standard hours and opportunities for skill development.

Qualifications

• Experience with setting up and operating CNC milling/turning equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM tools and CNC programs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines per specifications.
• Mount and align tools and fixtures and secure workpieces.
• Transfer CNC commands from servers to modules and start operations.
• Monitor machine operation and adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling as needed.
• Ensure workpieces are lubricated and cooled and quality checks are performed.
