Job summary

SSM Health is seeking an Echo Technician to perform comprehensive echocardiography studies in the Saint Louis area. The role involves 2D/3D, Doppler, and stress echocardiograms, with emphasis on patient communication and accurate data entry into PACS/EMR.

The ideal candidate will hold an Allied Health Echocardiography credential, be registered (RDCS/RCS) and possess strong billing and safety practices aligned with hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Allied Health program in Echocardiography/Cardiac Imaging.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS/AE) preferred.
• BLS certification required; ARDMS or CCI credentials may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiography studies including two-dimensional, Doppler and stress echoes.
• Ensures patient consent and communicates exam procedures clearly.
• Documents findings in PACS/EMR and handles billing accurately.
• Maintains equipment and adheres to safety and infection control policies.
