Job summary

SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital is seeking a skilled echocardiography technician to perform ultrasound exams in the lab, including Stress Echo and TAVR-related procedures. You will document results, input data into EMR, and support billing, while maintaining patient safety and quality standards.

Eligible candidates will hold RDCS or RCS credentials, be able to train residents, and participate in ongoing education to maintain certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Allied Health program in Echocardiography/Cardiac Imaging.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) and/or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
• BLS certification is required; ability to use PACS/EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures and examinations per department guidelines (60–75%).
• Completes patient billing for procedures (5%).
• Educates residents and staff on technical aspects and CME requirements.
• Maintains safety, infection control, and department compliance.
