Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas River Park in McMinnville, TN is seeking an Imaging professional specialized in Echocardiography. The role involves performing advanced diagnostic imaging, ensuring high-quality data for radiologists, and guiding patients with clear communication in a safe setting.

The position requires credentialing within 6 months (CCI, ARRT, ARDMS) and a strong focus on image quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following credentials: CCI Cardiographic Tech, ARRT Sonography, ARDMS Cardiac Sonographer or Medical Sonographer.
• Education options include High School diploma equivalency with 2 years experience or an Associate's/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostic imaging studies by maneuvering transducers and selecting precise technical parameters to capture high-quality images.
• Identify critical pathologies and anatomical structures in real-time to provide radiologists with necessary data.
• Guide patients through their exams with clear communication, ensuring a safe and empathetic environment.
• Validate image quality and patient history in PACS to ensure immediate access to accurate records for the medical team.
• Uphold safety and quality control standards to comply with regulatory requirements and provide patient protection.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Perform complex diagnostic imaging studies by skillfully maneuvering transducers and selecting precise technical parameters to capture the clearest possible clinical picture.
• Identify critical pathologies and anatomical structures in real-time to provide radiologists with the high-quality data necessary for life‑saving diagnoses.
• Guide patients through their exams by ensuring comfortable positioning and clear communication, maintaining a safe and empathetic environment throughout the procedure.
• Optimize the diagnostic workflow by meticulously validating image quality and patient history in PACS, ensuring the medical team has immediate access to accurate records.
• Uphold rigorous safety and quality control standards to ensure every procedure complies with regulatory requirements and provides the highest level of patient protection.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
