Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA, seeks a full‑time Echocardiographer. Ideal candidates have 1 year of experience; a $20,000 sign‑on bonus is available for qualified applicants.

You will perform transthoracic and transesophageal studies, stress echoes, and report generation in a high‑volume noninvasive lab. Hours are Monday–Friday with weekly on‑call, and you must live within 30 minutes of the hospital.

Qualifications

• One year of echocardiography experience preferred.
• Live within a 30-minute drive of hospital for call purposes.
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform two-dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler and stress echocardiograms.
• Perform transesophageal echocardiograms as needed.
• Complete technologist reports in the structured report application.
• Support fast-paced noninvasive imaging in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Ideal candidates will have one year of experience.$20,000 Sign on Bonus available for qualified candidates.About the department:The noninvasive team at Sentara Martha Jefferson includes RN’s, Cardiovascular Technicians, and Sonographers seeing an average of 7 patients a day both inpatient and outpatient. The Echocardiographer must live within a 30-minute drive of the hospital for call purposes.Hours: Monday – Friday, day shift, with call every 4th week to include the weekend. Either 7 to 330p or 8a to 430p.The noninvasive Echocardiographer performs two dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities.
