Job summary

Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a full-time Echocardiographer for day shifts 7:00am–3:30pm with on-call requirements. The role includes Echo, Stress Echo, TEE, and Doppler studies across multiple units including ICU and OR. Candidates must have an accredited program and RCCS/RCS/RDCS within 12 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program in accordance with IAC Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform two-dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Conduct pharmacological stress echocardiograms and Doppler studies to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities.
• Complete technologist reports in the structured report application.

Echocardiographer will perform Echo and Stress Echo tests, Transesophageal (TEE) Echocardiogram, and Doppler ultrasound. Echocardiographer will work in Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR, ICU and will also work with patients at the bedside.Performs two-dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities.
