Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA is seeking a full-time Echocardiographer to join the Noninvasive Lab. The role performs 2D, Doppler, TEE and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms to evaluate cardiac structure and function, under cardiologist supervision.

Requirements include an accredited echocardiography program (Associate's or Bachelor's in Cardiovascular Technology) and RCCS/RCS/RDCS certification within 12 months of hire, with BLS/ACLS timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (Associate's or Bachelor's in Cardiovascular Technology)
• RCCS, RCS or RDCS certification within 12 months of hire
• ACLS not required for hire but must obtain within 90 days
• BLS Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Performs two dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiograms
• Completes the technologist report in the structured report application
• Evaluates heart and blood flow to assess heart disease and vascular abnormalities

These professionals work closely with cardiologists to evaluate heart structures, functions, and blood flow, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. Performs two dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities.
