Job summary

Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is seeking an Echocardiographer for part-time, day shifts with 16 weekly hours. On-call required. You will perform Echo, Stress Echo, TEE, and Doppler studies across multiple labs and bedside settings.

Qualifications include high school diploma, graduation from an accredited echocardiography program, RCCS/RCS/RDCS within 12 months, and BLS/ACLS within 90 days. 1+ year of echocardiography experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent) per IAC Guidelines.
• Adult echocardiography registry (RCCS or RCS or RDCS) required within 12 months of hire.
• BLS (Required within 90 days)
• ACLS (Required within 90 days)
• Experience: Echocardiographer with 1 year minimum.

Responsibilities

• Perform two-dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiograms.
• Work in Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR, ICU and bedside.
• Complete technologist reports in the structured report application.
• Evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for heart disease and blood flow assessments.
