Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is hiring a full-time Echocardiographer in the Non-Invasive Lab. Ideal candidates have one year of echocardiography experience and perform 2D, Doppler, transesophageal and stress echocardiograms.

Hours: Monday–Friday day shift with call every 4th week (weekends). Shifts commonly 7:00–3:30 or 8:00–4:30; a $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Associates or Bachelor's in Cardiovascular Technology preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program per IAC Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform two-dimensional echocardiograms and Doppler echocardiograms.
• Perform transesophageal and stress echocardiograms.
• Complete the technologist report in the structured report application.
• Support noninvasive team in evaluating heart and vessel abnormalities.
• Communicate findings with patients and providers.

Ideal candidates will have one year of experience.$20,000 Sign on Bonus available for qualified candidates.**About the department:**The noninvasive team at Sentara Martha Jefferson includes RN’s, Cardiovascular Technicians, and Sonographers seeing an average of 7 patients a day both inpatient and outpatient. The Echocardiographer must live within a 30-minute drive of the hospital for call purposes.**Hours:** Monday – Friday, day shift, with call every 4th week to include the weekend. Either 7 to 330p or 8a to 430p.The noninvasive Echocardiographer performs two dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities.
