Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a skilled cardiovascular sonographer to provide high-quality cardiac ultrasound imaging for adult patients. You will also assist with stress testing and related duties as assigned, collaborating with cardiology to ensure diagnostic accuracy.

The role offers sign-on and relocation bonuses for qualified candidates, with opportunities to participate in mobile echo services and regional rotations.

Qualifications

• Certifications: ARDMS or CCI within 1 year; BLS within 30 days (AHA).
• Education: Sonography or related field.
• Work experience: Accept new grads.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality two-dimensional ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels.
• Identify EKG abnormalities and arrythmias.
• Use age-appropriate techniques and patient positioning for optimal imaging.
• Apply M-Mode measurements for cardiac dimensions.
• Assess valvular function with color Doppler and Doppler techniques.
• Evaluate cardiac chamber function and detect abnormalities.
• Assist with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
• Communicate results to cardiologist and document findings.
• Participate in mobile echo/vascular service regionally and in rotations.
