Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.
• 1+ year cardiovascular imaging experience preferred.
• Registered by ARDMS (RVT) or CCI (RVS) or board-eligible and certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Reviews physician orders to ensure correct procedure and identify patients.
• Performs all studies according to policy and standards; reports abnormalities.
• Obtains health history and enters data into diagnostic systems; ensures report accuracy.
• Communicates relevant patient data to team members and collaborates with other departments.
• Maintains knowledge of equipment, troubleshoots basics, and participates in new equipment evaluations.
• Participates in accreditation/recertification processes and performance improvement initiatives.
