Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a Sonographer to perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, both professional and non-clinical, ensuring high-quality imaging. The role includes accurate RIS charge entry and adherence to administrative policies while maintaining patient safety and professionalism.

Requirements include graduation from an Ultrasound program, RDMS certification, and current BLS. Prior sonography experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a Ultrasound program.
• Licensure/Certification: Registered as a Sonographer by the RDMS.
• Experience: Prior experience as a Sonographer highly preferred.
• Effective Communication Skills
• Able to perform professional duties with minimal supervision.
• Possesses a high level of professionalism and the ability to establish good rapport with patients, staff, and physicians.
• Current BLS Certification is required

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of Ultrasound procedures both professional and non-clinical consistent with optimal image quality.
• Entering on-line charges in the RIS system and ensuring charges as per policy.
• Provides patient care, ensures patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives, and demonstrates professionalism within Radiology and Imaging National standards.
