Job summary

Mount Carmel in Ohio seeks a Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer to perform Echocardiography diagnostic testing per accreditation guidelines, report preliminary findings for physician interpretation, and support overall patient care. The role requires reviewing orders, explaining procedures, and ensuring accurate documentation.

You will collaborate with the care team, manage equipment, pursue professional development, and participate in accreditation activities.

Qualifications

• Certificate/licensure in ARRT, ARDMS or CCI with appropriate credentials (RVT/RDCS or RCS/RVS)
• BLS certification is required
• Minimum 1 year of cardiovascular imaging experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Review physician orders and ensure correct procedures
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions
• Enter accurate patient data into diagnostic systems
• Maintain accurate and complete reports prior to dispatch
• Collaborate with other departments to provide optimal patient care
• Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment and participate in new equipment evaluations
