Job summary

Easterseals Southern California is seeking a Practice-Based Coach to support Head Start and Early Head Start programs in Escondido, CA. You will coach teachers, observe classrooms, analyze child outcomes, and mentor staff to improve teacher-child interactions and school readiness.

You will provide training on program philosophy, curriculum, and policies, maintain CLASS reliability, and collaborate with Center Directors and ECE managers to advance program goals and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development and current research based pedagogy.
• Knowledge of adult learning techniques and developmental milestones.
• Experience with observation/documentation and curriculum processes.

Responsibilities

• Provides training and technical assistance to identified staff and Center Directors on program philosophy, policies, procedures, and curriculum.
• Develops and updates procedures for instructional outcomes, curriculum implementation and cultural responsiveness.
• Maintains reliability in the CLASS assessment tool.
• Designs classroom assessment plans for ongoing program improvement.
• Analyzes data from CLASS observations to support staff development.
• Collaborates with the Manager, ECE to develop program goals in Early Childhood Education and School Readiness.
• Monitors developmentally appropriate approaches to child development and education.
• Implements staff trainings to address continuous improvement in child readiness outcomes.
• Provides input on staff performance for evaluations and corrective action.
• Facilitates and coordinates meetings and trainings with the Manager, ECE.
