Job summary

Easterseals Southern California is seeking an Early Head Start/Head Start educator who plans and evaluates a developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children and acts as Site Supervisor. You will support primary caregiving, ensure safety, and document progress and assessments.

Qualifications

• B.A. degree in early childhood education or related field.
• Possess and maintain a Child Development Teacher Permit.
• Experience planning developmentally appropriate curricula.

Responsibilities

• Performs as an educator for assigned children in the classroom throughout enrollment.
• Plans, implements and supervises a developmentally appropriate and inclusive curriculum.
• Coordinates and conducts bi-monthly classroom unit meetings and parent conferences.
• Coordinates parent education and prenatal health resources.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
