Job summary

Easterseals Southern California seeks an early childhood educator within the Head Start/Early Head Start program. You will plan, implement, and evaluate a developmentally appropriate, inclusive curriculum for young children, acting as Site Supervisor as designated and supporting overall educational program operations.

You will conduct home visits and parent conferences, track child progress, and coordinate staff meetings and training to uphold high-quality early learning environments.

Qualifications

• B.A. Degree in early childhood education, child development and/or related field.
• Must possess and maintain a Child Development Teacher Permit.
• Must meet ongoing educational requirements to qualify for child development permit/CDA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs as an educator for assigned children in the classroom throughout the child’s enrollment in the program.
• Plans, implements and supervises curriculum per Head Start standards and ESSC guidelines.
• Maintains weekly lesson plans, progress notes, and required paperwork.
