Easterseals Southern California seeks an experienced educator to plan, implement and evaluate an inclusive curriculum for the Early Head Start/Head Start program. The Site Supervisor also serves as a classroom educator for enrolled children.

Requirements include a BA in early childhood education or related field, a Child Development Teacher Permit, and current pediatric CPR/First Aid and a food handler's certificate. Strong communication and regulatory compliance are essential.

Formación

• Experience teaching in a preschool or infant/toddler classroom with 350 days of 3+ hours daily in a 4-year span.
• Current pediatric CPR and First Aid certification and a food handler's certificate.
• Must complete California Child Abuse Reporter Training and Pesticide Safety Training.
• Ability to interpret regulations from California education and licensing bodies.
• Strong communication, oral and written, with families and staff.

Responsabilidades

• Educate assigned children and support primary caregiver involvement and safety.
• Develop and supervise inclusive curriculum aligned with Head Start standards.
• Maintain lesson plans, progress notes, screenings and required paperwork.
• Lead classroom meetings, supervise volunteers/interns, and participate in trainings.
• Coordinate parent education and prenatal health resources.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
