To be successful in this role, you will possess keen assessment skills, acute critical thinking, and a patient-first mindset, driven by a profound enthusiasm to help others. Your sense of urgency and dedication to excellence in a fast-paced environment will not only support patient recovery but also fuel your own career advancement.
ECCO Program - This blended learning course takes a multi-dimensional approach to prepare the experienced RN to the critical care environment. This 12-week critical care training program blends computer based learning with weekly critical care sessions to prepare the RN who is new to the ICU environment to competently care for the critically ill adult patients. Computer modules focus on the fundamentals by providing the theoretical foundation necessary to care for critically ill patients while concurrent classroom sessions bridge the gap between online learning and nursing practice. Learning is reinforced in the clinical setting by preceptors on the units. The program provides a customized orientation plan with designated preceptors with oversight by the critical care educator and the ICU leadership team.
