Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking an Exceptional Children Teacher Assistant to support EC students and assist the classroom teacher. The role emphasizes helping students achieve IEP goals, guiding instruction, and providing access to general education as needed.

The candidate should have an Associate's degree or equivalent, with WorkKeys or related training, and preferably experience with EC students. Entry includes full-time 9-month terms and requires commuting to CMS locations.

Qualifikationen

• Associate's degree or higher education equivalent is required or completed.
• WorkKeys assessment or 96 hours of in-service training may be required.
• Completion of the NC DOL Teacher Assistant Apprenticeship Program is preferred.
• One year working with EC children is preferred.

• Assist children individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, and gymnasiums.
• Support instructional activities and coordinate with the classroom teacher.
• Document progress toward IEP goals and prepare instructional materials.
