Job summary

Plona Partners has been retained to identify an experienced eBilling Manager for a prestigious AmLaw 30 international law firm. This fully remote role leads the firm's enterprise-wide eBilling function, partnering with attorneys, finance leadership, and clients to maximize collections and ensure compliance.

You will drive automation, workflow optimization, and reporting enhancements while mentoring the eBilling team and shaping long-term eBilling strategy across U.S. offices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior eBilling, billing, or legal finance experience at an international law firm.
• Proven leadership of high-performing teams.

The Opportunity

As the firm\'s eBilling Manager, you\'ll oversee the complete lifecycle of electronic invoice submissions across hundreds of client matters while partnering with attorneys, finance leadership, billing professionals, and clients to ensure compliance, maximize collections, and continuously improve operational performance. Beyond day-to-day management, you\'ll play a key role in shaping the firm\'s future eBilling strategy through automation, workflow optimization, reporting enhancements, and technology initiatives.

What You\'ll Be Doing

• Lead the firm\'s enterprise-wide eBilling operation across multiple U.S. offices


• Manage electronic invoice submissions through a wide range of client-required eBilling platforms


• Ensure compliance with outside counsel guidelines, billing requirements, and submission deadlines


• Develop firmwide best practices that improve consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency


• Identify opportunities for automation, workflow improvements, and process optimization


• Resolve complex invoice rejections, submission errors, and platform issues that impact collections


• Partner closely with attorneys, finance leadership, billing teams, and clients to navigate unique billing requirements


• Supervise, mentor, and develop members of the eBilling team


• Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance management, and professional development


• Leverage reporting, accounting systems, and technology to improve visibility into billing performance


• Participate in major finance initiatives, software implementations, and operational improvement projects
