Zipline is seeking a Director of Maintenance Operations for the East Region to own end-to-end maintenance performance across regional operations. This senior role ensures fleet readiness, compliant systems, staffing, and audit-ready processes across multiple distribution hubs and launch sites.

You will build a scalable maintenance operating model, set standards, and drive reliability at scale with data-driven decisions. Expect travel across the region to lead launches and critical moments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading maintenance or technical operations in high-reliability fields.
• Experience owning outcomes across multiple sites or regions.
• Ability to balance standardization with local execution.
• Proven track record building leaders and holding them to results.
• Comfort in high-tempo, ambiguous environments where judgment matters.
• Technical background in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace systems.

Responsabilités

• Own regional maintenance performance across fleet, uptime, and parts availability.
• Lead and develop site-level leaders at each hub.
• Design and enforce regional maintenance systems and documentation.
• Drive reliability at scale with data-driven prioritization.
• Ensure safety and regulatory excellence with audit-ready systems.
• Partner cross-functionally with Flight Ops, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Business Ops.
• Support launches and expansion with staffing models and spares strategy.
