Job summary

Zipline is seeking a Director of Maintenance Operations for the East Region to own end-to-end maintenance performance across regional hubs and launches. Lead site-level leaders, design maintenance systems, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while scaling operations.

You will drive fleet uptime, update preventive and corrective programs, and collaborate with Flight Ops, Engineering, and Supply Chain to meet demand with reliable capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in aerospace, robotics, or other high-reliability hardware environments.
• Proven ability to lead leaders and drive measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Own regional maintenance performance across the East Region, including fleet uptime and readiness.
• Lead and develop site-level maintenance leaders across multiple hubs.
• Design and enforce regional maintenance systems, tooling standards, documentation, training, scheduling, and escalation paths.
• Drive reliability at scale with data and field insights to prioritize fixes and upgrades.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across states and sites with audit-ready processes.
• Partner cross-functionally with Flight Ops, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Business Ops.
• Support launches and expansions with staffing models and spares strategy.
