Job summary

MTM Transit is seeking a Regional Director, Fleet Maintenance to lead fleet maintenance operations across the East region, ensuring safe, compliant and cost-effective vehicle reliability. You’ll drive performance through data analytics, best practices, and strategic planning, while guiding locations and teams.

Travel up to 60-70% is required as you partner with operations and leadership to raise maintenance standards, optimize resources, and deliver exceptional service outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive fleet maintenance leadership experience in transit/transport/logistics.
• Experience managing government contracts and compliance requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 60-70% across the East Region.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximize fleet availability and cost-effectiveness.
• Analyze maintenance performance data, KPIs, and reporting metrics to identify trends and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements across locations and maintain accurate records.
• Guide maintenance specifications, standards, and practices meeting regulatory expectations.
• Monitor fleet performance, forecast maintenance costs, and adjust budgets accordingly.
• Stay informed on emerging fleet technologies and alternative fuels.
• Partner with operations and leadership to drive maintenance performance and safety initiatives.
