Job summary

Zipline is seeking a Director of Maintenance Operations for the East Region to own end-to-end maintenance performance across regional hubs. You’ll set standards, scale a maintenance operating model across states, and ensure reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance.

You will build leaders, drive accountability, and partner with Flight Ops, Engineering, and Supply Chain to align capacity with demand. Travel across the region is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading maintenance or technical operations in high-reliability environments.
• Experience owning outcomes across multiple sites or regions.
• Ability to balance standardization with local execution realities.
• Proven track record building leaders and driving measurable results.
• Comfort operating in high-tempo, ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Own regional maintenance outcomes including fleet uptime and capacity.
• Lead Heads of Maintenance at each site and drive accountability.
• Design and enforce maintenance systems, tooling, and training.
• Drive reliability with data-driven priority fixes and upgrades.
• Ensure safety and regulatory excellence with audit-ready processes.
• Collaborate across Flight Ops, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Ops.
• Lead readiness for new site launches and regional expansions.
