Job summary

Veit is seeking a Superintendent/Foreman to oversee daily earthwork operations, ensure safety, quality, and adherence to project plans and budgets. You will lead on-site crews, schedule subcontractors, and coordinate with superintendents to meet timelines.

The role requires strong reading of plans, active safety leadership, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Union/craft familiarity and driving responsibilities may apply.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• OSHA 10-hour (preferred but not required), OSHA 30-hour, HAZWOPER certificate, Excavating Safety Training, Blueprint Training, CPR, First Aid.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, reports, construction plans, construction specifications, and legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Directly manages project site's lead personnel and staff.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors to meet project timelines.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Participate in pre-construction and regular job-site meetings; provide documentation for safety and quality reports.
• Communicate project needs and status with supervisors and clients; respond to inquiries from regulators or community members.
