Job summary

VEIT is seeking a Superintendent to oversee daily field operations on heavy civil construction sites. You will lead on-site crews and subcontractors, coordinate resources, and ensure work aligns with design specs, budgets, and schedules.

You’ll drive safety initiatives, manage documentation, and maintain quality and regulatory compliance. Strong communication and planning abilities are essential for successful project execution across multiple divisions.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of related field experience.
• OSHA 10/30, HAZWOPER, Excavating Safety Training preferred.
• Ability to read plans, specs, and policies.
• Strong communication and scheduling skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations on heavy civil construction projects.
• Lead on-site crews and subcontractors; coordinate resources.
• Ensure work is performed safely, on time, and in compliance with designs and budgets.
• Maintain daily logs, equipment and material schedules, and timecards.
• Conduct job-site meetings and safety briefings; promote safety culture.
• Communicate with project managers and clients to resolve issues.
