Job summary

Mercy Cedar Rapids is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to provide timely and accurate specimen collection and laboratory support. You will demonstrate compassion, deliver outstanding customer service, and maintain professional behavior while handling patient samples.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, specimen labeling, and communicating results to care teams. Training will cover safety and quality procedures, with opportunities to participate in continuing education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduate of a phlebotomy training program or medical assisting program.
• Experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collection, including phlebotomy and skin tests, with skill and compassion.
• Properly identify patients and samples during all testing phases.
• Use EPIC to access and enter information and communicate with care teams.
