Job summary

Mercy seeks a Part-Time Lab Support Technician I (Phlebotomy) to join the care team and support patient testing through safe specimen collection, proper labeling, and timely report handling. You will demonstrate strong customer service and operate under Mercy Signature Service standards in a night-shift environment.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, specimen transport, data management, and collaboration with laboratory leadership, providers, and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• No active disciplinary actions or performance improvement plans.
• Ability to complete departmental training and checklists.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe, accurate, and professional collection of laboratory specimens.
• Ensure proper specimen identification, labeling, handling, transport, and referral for testing.
• Assist with specimen processing and report management within laboratory specialty areas.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements and laboratory policies.
• Resolve billing issues as assigned.
