Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. in Hammond, LA seeks a reliable Machine Helper on 1st shift. You will set up and operate production machinery, assist operators, monitor performance, and maintain a clean, safe work area. Training provided for forklift operation and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; corrugating industry experience preferred.
• 6 months experience as Flexo or DieCut Helper preferred; 6 months in Press/Finishing preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions for machine adjustments and basic maintenance.
• Load/unload materials safely and operate forklifts (training provided).
• Visual inspections and basic quality control; monitor machine performance.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, hazard-free work area.
• Set up slotting, feed, and die-cut sections on machines; assist operators.
• Monitor machine performance and report malfunctions; document production data.
• Train and assist fellow team members; adapt to schedule changes.
• Maintain equipment and uphold quality to meet production goals.
