Core-Mark in Augusta, ME is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee driver teams, ensuring safe, on-time deliveries and DOT compliance. You will monitor logs, coach staff, and coordinate data in fleet systems to support efficient operations.

The role starts at 3:00 AM, Monday through Friday with Saturday rotations as needed, and offers growth opportunities within a nationwide food distribution network.

Qualifications

• CDL required with clean driving record.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety requirements.
• Experience using computerized fleet management systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work Monday-Friday, 3:00 AM start.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers, including staffing, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Assist with scheduling and ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
• Ride along with drivers for training and evaluation.
• Administer transportation functions, review logs and expense reports.
• Ensure DOT compliance and company policies.
• Enter data using fleet management systems.
• Promote safe work practices and monitor vehicle safety.
• Maintain driver records, licenses, and safety documentation.
• Ensure accurate delivery and driver paperwork, including DVIRs.
• Review pre/post-trip inspections and maintain fleet equipment.
• Partner with leadership to optimize routes and reduce costs.
