Job summary

Core-Mark is seeking a Operations Supervisor in Suffolk, VA to oversee drivers and operations, ensure safe, timely deliveries, and support DOT compliance. You will train staff, monitor performance, and coordinate with the Transportation team to maintain efficient routes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent experience considered.
• 2-4 years transportation or related experience with knowledge of DOT and safety regulations.
• Experience operating computerized fleet management systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervises drivers and associates, including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and scheduling.
• Assist Transportation/Operations Manager with daily admin tasks, payroll review, logs and expense reports.
• Ensure safety by monitoring vehicle usage, ramp handling, seat belts, and proper lifting practices.
• Maintain driver data: licenses, tickets, accidents, and safety records.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance and fuel/doc paperwork.
• Collaborate to minimize operating expenses and optimize route efficiency.
