Job summary

Milestones Learning Center is hiring a full-time cook/kitchen manager to prepare nutritious meals for children aged 6 weeks to five years. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, often autonomously, and ensure CACFP guidelines and health regulations are followed.

Excellent candidates have ServSafe certifications or are willing to obtain them within six months, and will help rotate stock, manage orders, and maintain a clean, compliant kitchen environment for the kids.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen, ideally in an early learning environment.
• Valid ServSafe Food Handler certification or willingness to obtain.
• Willingness to obtain ServSafe Manager certification within six months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children.
• Follow CACFP guidelines and health department regulations.
• Receive, rotate, and inventory food; manage kitchen supplies.
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen and dishes daily.
• Collaborate with classroom and admin staff to support meals.
