Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is hiring a Cook to prepare healthy meals and snacks for children in our centers. You will follow menus developed by our nutritionist, maintain clean kitchen operations, and ensure safe food handling practices.

The role involves ordering supplies, documentation, and collaboration with center staff to support enrollment, accreditation, and engagement efforts. Prior institutional cooking and a Food Handler’s License are preferred, with English communication required.

Qualifications

• Must love working with children and have a strong desire to make a difference.
• Understand proper food storage, allergen awareness, and cross-contamination prevention.
• Able to follow nutritious menus and prepare adequate quantities for center population.
• Basic math skills for measuring and portioning foods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and related equipment safely and hygienically.
• Order food and supplies as needed.
• Dispense and store medication when required and per policy.
• Complete documentation per KinderCare and licensing requirements.
• Assist with daily center duties as needed and support enrollment/engagement goals.
