Learning Care is hiring a Food Specialist to prepare nutritious meals for students, align with the school menu and budget, and ensure compliance with health and licensing standards. You will manage food inventory, follow the daily menu, and assist in classrooms as needed to support teachers and children.

The role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and adherence to state regulations, with a Monday–Friday schedule and opportunities for growth within a caring early-education environment.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for multiple individuals in a childcare facility preferred.
• Willingness to learn and follow state and local regulations.
• Flexible hours and schedule capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare home-style, nutritious meals and snacks within the school menu and budget; serve to children and staff.
• Follow daily menu and comply with USDA, licensing, and health department rules.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies; place orders as needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
