Job summary

Learning Care is hiring a Food Specialist to manage overall food preparation for the school’s enrolled children. You will create home-style meals within menu constraints and budget, and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.

You will follow the daily menu, maintain inventory, and assist in classrooms as needed, supporting a caring team and safe, nutritious meals for children.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking and/or food prep for many people in a childcare setting preferred.
• Willingness to learn and follow current regulations.
• Flexibility with working hours and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritious meals within the school menu and budget.
• Follow daily menu while complying with USDA/licensing/regulations.
• Maintain food inventory and reorder as needed.
• Assist classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
