Job summary

Paycom seeks a dedicated early childhood assistant to help design and run classroom activities aligned with the Head Start curriculum. You will supervise children throughout the day, assist teachers, and support screening and assessment processes.

The role requires an CDA certification or an associate degree in Child Development, with at least six months of relevant experience, and knowledge of early childhood development practices and regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of theories and practices of Early Childhood Development in Head Start.
• Experience with child development screening and assessment processes is preferred.
• Familiarity with Head Start and state child care regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and setting up classroom activities and learning centers.
• Provide constant supervision of children during all activities, indoors and outdoors.
• Assist with implementation of developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans.
• Support screening and assessment scheduling using Brigance and CPI tools.
• Record attendance, maintain education records, and assist in behavior management strategies.
