Job summary

Paycom - ATS seeks an attentive Assistant Teacher to support classroom operations under the Mentor Coach and Teacher. You will help implement activities, supervise staff and volunteers, and help ensure compliance with Head Start standards.

Responsibilities include documentation, attendance, meals, and family engagement support. Will assist with home visits when designated as 2nd teacher for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Must have proven interpersonal relationship skills and ability to maintain professional conduct.
• Ability to read, interpret and follow written instructions accurately.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and records.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of classroom staff and volunteers when the Teacher is absent.
• Assist with implementing activities and daily classroom operations.
• Attend home visits and parent conferences when assigned as the 2nd teacher for an extended period.
• Complete required documentation such as attendance, meal counts, and incident reports.
