Job summary

Paycom - ATS in NY is seeking a Head Start assistant educator to work with young children, families, and staff to create a safe, stimulating learning environment.

Responsibilities include supervising children, supporting the lead teacher, coordinating with parents, and helping with meals and classroom readiness. Candidates must have a CDA credential and complete NYS SCR clearance and fingerprinting.

Qualifications

• CDA credential or state certificate meeting CDA requirements.
• For Early Head Start — CDA in infant development.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to engage with families and children.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor children at all times.
• Establish a safe and stimulating learning environment.
• Greet children and parents on arrival and escort children to and from the bus.
• Assist lead teacher with educational activities and program delivery.
• Maintain classroom equipment and materials.
• Encourage parental involvement in classroom activities and events.
• Support children with personal care and transitions.
• Collaborate with staff to implement the curriculum.
• Perform related tasks and trainings as required.
